Everyday Happy – Sustainable Cleaning Products

I have found that I get about 90% more accomplished in any given day when we wake up to a clean house.

I’m not saying things don’t get out of control once in a while—of course there are messes and days when things don’t get put away. I’m a champion at leaving the laundry in the washer and having to re-wash it to get the musty smell out—sometimes twice.

I may have been chronically late and in constant disarray when I was young, selfish and on “my time”, but I’m happy to say since having a family, I’ve grown into someone who can’t stand to be behind.

Of course it happens, but it’s all about progress.

These days, I look forward to staying in on Saturday nights with my husband Cory and son Everett, or girlfriends and wine. I love being home and making the space we live in beautiful. I find sick pleasure in taking all of the tupperware out of the drawer and putting everything in a place, much like a puzzle. I love the color coordination in my closet, and the tidiness of Everett’s nursery. It’s an amazing feeling to purge items we don’t use—less is more, and it’s glorious!

In all of this cleaning, I’ve grown much more conscious of what I’m putting in the air. Less is more when it comes to ingredient lists, too, especially since Everett is breathing in everything around him. I’ve started looking for more sustainable ways to care for our family from eating to personal care to the cleaning products we use. I feel really good about using Everyday Happy’s cleaning products. They are plant-based and safe for our family.

I first heard of the company when I signed up for a free baby product trial. You can do the same by clicking here. I fell in love with their laundry detergent, baby wipes, and shampoo while we were on vacation, and have since started using the All-Glass Cleaner, All-Purpose Cleaner and Power Sponge.

“Creative minds are rarely tidy” was my motto for much of my life. I’ve learned that my mind may always be a wandering one, curious and open to new projects, but in order to put my ideas into motion, I need to live in a clean and organized space.

A little more about Everyday Happy…

We’re a group of moms and dads who want nothing but the best for our kids. With a deep respect for healthy, sustainable living, we want the best for our planet, too. Though it might sound cheesy, we really do think that kids are the future.
We’re a pretty diverse team: Stay-at-home parents, entrepreneurs, athletes, programmers, academics, writers, artists, dreamers — we span all walks of life. And yet, despite our differences, our mission to provide a healthy, happy, beautiful world for our children has brought us together.
Established in 2013, EverydayHappy is the result of an intense collaboration between all of our different talents. We put all of our energy into researching, testing and refining our products, then we did it all over again until we were satisfied. Our kids can’t read labels, so it’s our responsibility to make sure they’re only exposed to safe, natural ingredients.
By living mindfully, we’re making life truly meaningful for our kids. What we’ve built is a promise — to make every day happy for them, and for those who want to join us.
The EverydayHappy Team
