I’ve tried numerous “green” juice recipes, and after making my own adjustments, this one is my FAVORITE! It’s a tasty little treat and the perfect drink to wake up to.
In my Ninja Food Prep, I combine:
- 3/4 c. ice
- 3/4 c. vanilla unsweetened almond milk
- 2 c. (or heaping bunches) spinach, kale, arugula, chard (I like the Organic Deep Greens mix by Earthbound Farms)
- 1 large banana
- dash of cinnamon
- 1 scoop chia seeds
If I’m extra hungry, I’ll enjoy the smoothie with a protein-packed breakfast of eggs (from our backyard!) cooked over-medium in olive oil with spinach, topped with a tiny bit of pink Himalayan salt and hot sauce.
